Fully Interactive Virtual Analog Amps
Fractal Audio’s modeling technology creates fully adjustable amp models with authentic, interactive controls. The models behave like the originals, letting you shape the sound you want rather than browsing through static samples of someone else’s settings. Behind the scenes, detailed component-level modeling recreates the preamp, tone stack, cathode follower, power supply, power amp, phase inverter, amp/speaker interaction, and more. In short, if you know how to dial in the amp, you know how to dial in the model!
DynaCabs for Visual Tone Shaping
ICONS: Pasadena includes a collection of DynaCab™ HD speaker cabs chosen for hard rock, metal, and heavy modern tones. Move the virtual mic across the speaker and hear the results in real time. HD captures offer higher spatial density for smoother, more accurate mic positioning.
Load Your Favorite User Cab IRs
User Cab mode allows you to load your own impulse responses (IRs) for instant, ready-to-play tones. ICONS supports popular file formats up to 8k. With two slots, you can mix, blend, and adjust time alignment.
The Cab block also includes a stereo room simulator, virtual mic preamp, and master high-cut and low-cut filters.
Premium Effects
ICONS: Pasadena includes premium stompbox and studio effects based on the same algorithms used in the flagship Axe-Fx. Streamlined blocks make it fast to build complete tones, from authentic drive pedals, compression, EQ, modulation, time-based effects, and more. Highlights include Tape Delay, Chamber Reverb, Dual Detune for huge stereo width, and signature vintage effects for classic Brown Sound-inspired tones.
Preset Browser & Tags
The ICONS preset browser uses tags and search tools to help you quickly find tones that fit your needs. Presets can be tagged by character, tone, and musical genre, and you can also search directly by preset name or author to locate specific sounds.

ICONS: Pasadena is the second release in the ICONS series, expanding the lineup with a focused collection of 5153-style amps, matched DynaCab™ HD speaker cabs, and effects selected for hard rock, metal, and heavy modern tones. ICONS is designed to grow over time, with each release centered on a distinct family of amps, cabs, and effects.
Industry-Leading Amp Modeling — ICONS uses Fractal Audio’s industry-leading amp modeling, built on the same algorithms as our flagship hardware. Each model recreates the full analog circuit and control behavior, so the amp responds naturally across its full range—from clean dynamics to saturated high gain.
DynaCab™ HD Speaker Sims — Next-generation DynaCab™ HD speaker simulation gives you intuitive visual microphone placement on virtual speakers, with higher spatial density for smoother and more accurate real-time mic positioning. ICONS also supports User Cab mode for loading and using your favorite IRs.

Preset Browser & Tags – Quickly find sounds using tags and search. Presets can be filtered by tone, character, and genre, or searched directly by name or author. Pasadena ships with over 120 ready-to-play presets based on those from Fractal Audio hardware, plus submissions by the Fractal Audio community of players and artists.
Input Calibration & Leveling – Amp modeling plugins often rely on arbitrary input levels, which can lead to inaccurate gain and response. ICONS addresses this a with built-in calibration system, ensuring the models respond to your guitar the way the original amps were designed to. When you use the USB audio interface built into any Fractal Audio hardware product, the default input settings are already correct — no calibration required!
